Sanitation & Recycling

Residents of the City of Duquesne contract with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection and recycling. Everyone within the community is required to have garbage collection and may choose from several companies which are licensed to offer their services within our city.

The City of Duquesne holds a recycle collection twice yearly, usually in May and October. These events are typically scheduled to follow our City-Wide Rummage Sales. Residents may also use Joplin Recycling Center located at 1310 West A Street, Joplin (417) 624-0820, Ex. 1501.

For questions specific to trash or recycling pick up, please call the waste management company directly.

The City of Duquesne has partnered with Triple-R Recycling to provide a convient means of recycling cardboard for citizens.

LOCATION: At City Hall, 1501 S. Duquesne Rd.

Other fiber items, like newspapers, junkmail, cereal boxes and pizza boxes are accepted. No glass, metal or plastic including styrofoam please.

NOTE: The near-by trash dumpster is NOT for public use.
